Workshops & Events

The District regularly offers educational opportunities for farmers, land stewards, and the general public. We've hosted workshops on funding opportunities, climate wise methods like biochar, permaculture and agroforestry, and various films and speakers. We've helped people learn about water quality by offering workshops on lake shoreland best management practices and wetlands management.  We've co-hosted fun volunteer events like river clean ups and tree plantings, and facilitated public access to our collaborator's farms by promoting events like Open Farm Week.

Each year, we host our Annual Plant Sale & Conservation Fair. For over 40 years, OCNRCD has been hosting a plant and shrub sale to our broader community, We offer a variety of bare-root plants for sale, including fruit trees, berry bushes, native trees, and a selection of native wetland plants and shrubs.

Please join our mailing list so you can be informed about any upcoming events or educational opportunities, which are always free and open to the public.
